2021 Stayin Alive

Merlot is back in all it’s glory however, unfortunately this is the last rendition. We LOVE the variety and made ours reminiscent of the early California Merlots that should have never gone out of style. These premier grapes come from an old planting on one acre at 1600' elevation in the Templeton Gap, leading to a structurally beautiful wine with a lot of depth. On the nose, vibrant notes of baked blackberry and cassis, cooling eucalyptus, with intriguing cigar box and aged cedar. Black currant, chocolate truffles, & pomegranate dance on the palate. A finish of bay leaf, soy sauce, and RC Cola. Pair with carnitas tacos or an eggplant parmesan! This classically beautiful Merlot will only get better over the next 4-8 years
