2022 Purple Rain

Cortada Alta Vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands farmed by the Mansfield-Dunne family with coastal influence that allows the grapes to ripen slowly and retain fresh acidity. Bright ripe plum and under ripe strawberry are balanced with tomato leaf, morel mushroom and died leaves; lingering hints of baking spices, freshly picked figs and plum preserves. Undertones wonderfully reminiscent of blackberry and brown sugar crumble on a Sunday afternoon! Pairs well with an oven roasted quail or a balcony view on the coast.
